Genetek Earth Research can provide on-site or off-site training for your geoscientists that will prepare them to make optimal use of the powerful features in EarthWorks. Training typically takes 3-4 days and is usually conducted as a hands-on exercise on real data with close supervision. We can provide training at our facilities for groups of 12 geoscientists at a time.

Additionally, Genetek Earth Research has courses that focus on more advanced geophysical techniques such as prestack analysis using EarthWorks. Dr Easton Wren, a renowned prestack enthusiast, is a co-author of this exciting course.

Courses for Geologists

Dr Easton Wren and Mark Sun also regularly teach hands-on workstation-based courses for geologists. If your geologists are inclined to interpret seismic data, we can offer them a course that combines geophysical theory with practical workstation-based solutions. We explain what problems need to be solved, why they need to be solved and how to effectively solve them using EarthWorks.

Courses for Applications Support Specialists

We are also happy to provide training for technical support specialists where we describe the application design and the file and data structures involved. This helps in-house technical people provide initial on-site support for EarthWorks in an effective manner.

The operating system has extensive backup facilities that are extremely powerful, but will also require some simple training. We will show you how to plan and schedule backups so that your work is always protected as much as possible. If you have several EarthWorks workstations, you may cluster them to increase performance, provide redundancy, share large volumes of data and make system management easy.

We can also train your data loading staff on the data loading and area management utilities. Data loading is very straightforward, however very few data loaders are used to loading prestack data and they will require some training in this area.

Training is an important part of implementing a workstation solution and we provide the instructors and facilities to make it interesting and effective.
